PSP charging problem?
First off its a fat (psp1000) with CFW 4.01 m33. For the most part it will work as long as i leave the charger plugged in. Once taken out it turns off. Ive tried letting it charge at night. The orange charge light stays on but battery doesnt take the charge. This is a brand new battery i just purchased. Not sure if this matters but my memory stick still has the magic memory stick data on it if that makes a differance. I am thinking the charger is the problem. Its a car charger Sony brand, model DCC-E26CP. 4.5v/6v. 1000mah. I only use the 4.5 setting as the 6v will not work with the psp. Let me know what u guys think the problem component may be. Thanks.
its the charger bro. u cant use a car charger for these things cause it doesnt give of the volts it says it does. go to gamestop.com order a psp charger online or at the store. and u should be set. i had a PSP too and this happened. dont worry

It is a modified battery for the Sony Playstation Portable. It allows a bricked or working official-firmware PSP to have access to view and run the programs installed on the magic memory stick. When it is used, the user immediately sees a list of options that are running off the magic memory stick. Both the Pandora’s battery and the magic memory stick are, therefore essential in what is technically know as unbricking a PSP. That is installing custom firmware on a PSP.
The advantage is that after you have used the Pandora’s Battery and the Magic Memory Stick Combo to unbrick your PSP, the battery and stick are reusable on an unlimited amount of PSPs. It is therefore very possible to continuously reuse the Pandora’s battery on any number of PSPs.
It is essential to keep the Pandora Battery
Pandora’s Battery decently charged but take caution that it is not overcharged because in the process the battery loses its battery meter. Essentially, after the battery loses all its charge, charge it for a couple of hours after which you have to manually stop charging it. Any continuous amount of charging will cause the battery to malfunction. When one acquires a Pandora’s Battery, it normally is fully charged.
It is also possible to make a Pandora’s Battery on a fat PSP and then downgrade a slim PSP with it. Actually, this may be the easiest way of doing it. You can make a Pandora’s from a FAT- Battery using a FAT-PSP, what is commonly known as a fat Pandora’s Battery. However, do not use a FAT-PSP with a SLIM-Battery, to make a normal Pandora’s Battery. Although this may be possible, it is yet to be proven not to have adverse effects on either the battery or the PSP or both.
As of the time being, current Pandora batteries are incompatible with the new PSP motherboards.
