I’m looking at this hard drive on Ebay MICROSOFT XBOX 360 XBOX360 20GB HARD DISK DRIVE HDD 20G, it’s being sold as OEM which I’m being told is built by a third party. What does this mean and does anyone recommend buying this way or not.

Warranty expired for my Xbox 360, should I repair it myself?
I recently got the RROD on my 360 but my warranty expired way before I got it, plus I live in Canada. I’ve seen repair videos on youtube, and it looks like they’re genuine. I really don’t want to spend $100+ on sending it to Microsoft. But will it work for me? Should I try it since I really don’t have anything to lose now? No towel or penny trick BS pl0x. xD
