Can anyone recommend some nintendo d.s games like new super mario bros?

I really loved super mario bros, and super mario 64, but there doesnt seem to be many games out there that are on par with these, can anyone give me some idea’s what to buy, i didnt like mario and luigi partners in crime…due to the dialogue breaks..and stylus control..many of the games are like this, mario kart was ok but not pushed on racing games. I like the retro platform games, that are challenging and addictive!
I played lego indiana jones, and that was good, but finished it in one day!!!
Zelda is ok too, and professor layton, but they get a bit boring..
