Nintendo Wii Display Problem?

The visual audio cable that came with my Wii (The Red,White,Yellow one) Recently broke, so I bought a Component Cable (Official Nintendo) as a replacement. The display is fine, and the audio is fine, but the picture itself is in black and white. I have checked and checked and the cables are in the right sockets. I also have a Standard Def TV, 480i, if that makes a difference. I’ve also checked to make sure it’s on 480i on the Wii, and not the HD settings. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks.
